Recognise the Early Signs of Drainage Problems
A drainage problem rarely appears without warning. Recognising its early signs can reduce disruption and make repairs more manageable.
Slow drainage is one of the most familiar symptoms. If one sink empties slowly, the problem may be close to that fixture. If several sinks, toilets or showers are affected, the obstruction may lie deeper within the drainage system.
Gurgling sounds can indicate trapped air caused by restricted water flow. Unpleasant smells may suggest that waste has accumulated or that a water trap has dried out.
Watch for toilets that rise unusually high when flushed, water returning through a shower drain or waste water appearing in another fixture. These symptoms require prompt attention.
Outside, look for standing water, overflowing covers, sunken ground or unusually lush patches of grass. Dampness and strong odours can indicate a leaking underground drain.
Pro Drainage can investigate persistent warning signs and identify their underlying cause. A professional inspection is particularly important when the same blockage keeps returning.
