Gravity drainage systems use gravity as their primary force for transporting water away from your property. This means that they rely on an incline between the roof and soil (or some other collection point) rather than pumps or electricity to move water out of sight and mind – which makes them very cost-effective compared with other types of surface drainage systems!
The gravity drainage system is the traditional form of sewerage. This usually takes the form of a pipe running from the outfall to a pumping station, then from there to the sewage treatment plant.
